I’m curious as to how this logic doesn’t apply equally to women having things handed to them when they sit back waiting for men ask them out. The last two sentences are especially incorrect. If we’re asked out by a woman we actually want to date, you can be sure we gain interest. It’s only when we’re pursued by trolls that our interest wanes – just like it does for women.

To bottom line it: I think most men enjoy not just the sense of challenge that asking a woman out provides, but also find the “mystery” of whether or not she’ll sleep with him arousing. – Moxie

We don’t enjoy any sense of challenge. We enjoy the sense of pride and accomplishment when someone we are interested in agrees to go out with us. It’s a great self-esteem builder. Women would equally experience that feeling if they did the asking. Lastly, no man finds the “mystery” of whether a woman will sleep with us arousing. I can assure you on behalf of all men that we’d all prefer to know up front.
